Tamim Iqbal has been named the captain of the Khulna Tigers for BPL 2023. The left-handed dashing opener is the best opening batsman in Bangladesh cricket history. He is one of the finest batters in BPL history as well. The prolific opener has 2 BPL centuries beside his name. He scored his very first hundred in the Bangladesh Premier League for Comilla Victorians while his next and so far the last one came for Minister Dhaka.

Khulna Tigers Coach 2023:

The Tigers have appointed Khaled Mahmud Sujon as their head coach. This former Bangladeshi cricketer was never a player of the highest level. But he has a good reputation for managing teams. Sujon has been in the charge of a number of BPL teams, and Dhaka Premier Division cricket teams, and also served the BD national team as well. Now he serves as a cricket coach and is assigned to the Khulna BPL team.

Firoza Begum Tumpaa is the Chairman of MindTree and serves as the managing director (M.D.) of the Khulna Tigers. She is a Dhaka University graduate and started her career with teaching and then moved on to the advertising industry.

Khulna Tigers History:

The Franchise was established in 2012 during the inaugural BPL edition. Its thenceforth name was the Khulna Royal Bengals. In 2016, the team was renamed Khulna Titans. On 16 November 2019 MindTree and Premier Bank Limited evolved as the sponsors and owners of the franchise. They renamed it Khulna Tigers from Khulna Titans.
