The Bangladesh national team have a new interim head coach in Oscar Bruzon for the SAFF Championship 2024. The Spaniard was handed over the reins for the next two months after a string of poor performances under Jamie Day.
The impact was instant as they won the the SAFF Championship opener 1-0 against Sri Lanka and held India to a 1-1 draw in spite of going down to 10-man in the 54th minute. Topu Barman scored against Maldives, whereas Yeasin Arafat pierced the net against India to earn Bangladesh four points from two matches.
They will next play against Maldives on October 13.
